This Privacy Policy explains how Roof Verify collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our websites, products, and services. If you use Roof Verify on behalf of a company, that company may control the information submitted through its account.
Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect account and contact details, including telephone numbers; company information; customer and project records; roof measurements; files; communications, including SMS and MMS message content and attachments; scheduling information; estimates; proposals; invoices; payment status; and support requests that you or your organization submit.
Messaging and consent information
If you send or receive text messages through Roof Verify, we may collect telephone numbers, message content, delivery status, timestamps, carrier information, and records showing how and when consent was provided, changed, or withdrawn.
Information collected automatically
We may collect device and browser information, IP address, log data, pages and features used, timestamps, and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Information from connected services
When an authorized user connects a third-party service, we may receive information needed to provide that integration. The information available depends on the service, the permissions granted, and the account configuration.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and support Roof Verify;
- authenticate users and protect accounts;
- process jobs, documents, communications, integrations, and requested workflows;
- monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve the service;
- communicate about service, support, security, and account matters; and
- comply with law and enforce applicable agreements.
SMS and MMS messaging
Message types
If you opt in to receive text messages from Roof Verify, we may send messages about your account or requested services, customer support, demos or appointments, project and workflow updates, proposals, invoices, payment reminders, security, and other topics you specifically request. We send promotional or marketing text messages only with the consent required for that messaging program.
Consent and message terms
Your consent to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency varies according to your interactions and the messaging program. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out and help
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message. You may receive one confirmation message after opting out. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@roofverify.app. We honor opt-out requests and maintain suppression records to help prevent messages from being sent after consent is withdrawn.
Mobile information
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile telephone number, SMS or MMS opt-in data, or consent status with third parties or affiliates for their promotional or marketing purposes. We may share this information with telecommunications carriers, messaging platform providers, and other vendors only as necessary to deliver messages, provide messaging support, maintain consent and opt-out records, prevent fraud or misuse, protect security, or comply with law. Those providers are not authorized to use this information for their own marketing.
Messages sent by Roof Verify customers
Roofing businesses and other organizations may use Roof Verify to send messages to their own customers, workers, or contacts. The sending organization controls those messaging programs and is responsible for the content it sends, obtaining required consent, honoring opt-out requests, and providing any notices required by law. Roof Verify processes that messaging information as a service provider on the organization’s behalf. If you have questions about a message from a Roof Verify customer, contact the business identified in that message.
How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate Roof Verify, to third-party services a user chooses to connect, within the customer organization that controls an account, during a business transaction, or when required to protect rights, safety, security, and legal compliance. We do not sell personal information for money. Regardless of these general disclosure practices, mobile telephone numbers, text-message opt-in data, and consent status are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their promotional or marketing purposes, as described in the SMS and MMS section above.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, fulfill the purposes described here, meet contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. We may retain SMS and MMS consent, opt-out, and suppression records as needed to document compliance and respect your messaging choices. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the customer’s instructions.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may update certain account information through the service or ask your organization’s account administrator for help. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or appeal a decision. To make a request, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity and authority.
Cookies and similar technologies
Roof Verify may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for sign-in, security, preferences, and core service operation. We may also use analytics to understand how the service performs and is used.
Children’s privacy
Roof Verify is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy and update the effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice.
